Mira Rizki Kurnia is a New Media artist who uses the medium of sound and its interactivity in her art practice. By relying on her sensitivity to the shape of sound, Mira explores various possibilities for creating perceptions of sound composition through diverse backgrounds in humans and their environment. Her work often emphasizes how each person has a different stimulus to perceive a sound composition through aural memory experimentation on the sound environment.
Mira (b. 1994) started her career when she was a student at the Bandung Institute of Technology, Intermedia Art Studio in 2013. Since then, Mira began investigating sound perception formed from various perspectives. She also always questioned whether humans in the past who intervened in the environment indirectly formed the perception of the environment towards human aural memory in the present.
In her work, she also tries to make the audience more involved with each other and aware of his presence among other entities in this world.
